Enel Chile is carrying out a digital transformation of the management of its entire value chain, developing new business models and digitizing its processes, integrating systems and adopting new technologies.
Digitalization allows promoting economic, social and environmental sustainability promoting more conscious consumption, access to energy, especially for more vulnerable sectors, and environmentally friendly use of energy.
The Company's digitalization strategy is based on three pillars: people, assets and customers, considering three fundamental enablers for its development: cybersecurity, platform and cloud.
The Company seeks to incorporate digital solutions in each of the three pillars:
- People: making digital tools avaible to workers to make processes more efficient, allowing the implementation of a hybrid way of working, giving its workers the possibility of better reconciling work and family life.
- Costumers: applying different digital solutions to enhance business operations, especially Enel X Chile, improving the product offering to the end costumer.
- Assets: implementing digital tools for the construction of wind, solar and other non-conventional renewable energy plants, in their design, engineering, construction and useful life phases of the plant, and to optimize the management and maintenance of generation and power plants the distribution network.
Enel Chile has the Open Innovability model, which enables collaboration agreements with start-ups, researchers and other organizations and individuals to continuously transform the current energy model.
In 2023, more than 100 emerging companies from all over Latin America were evaluated and the decision is being made to launch "Concept Tests" with the selected startups.
